We comply with federal and provincial/territorial privacy and access to information legislation. We pledge  to maintain the highest standards of research competence, integrity, and transparency in conducting, analyzing, and reporting our work; establishing and maintaining relations with research participants and our clients; and communicating with the public and those who employ our research for decision making purposes. Our call centre staff are located within Canada and are regulated by the Privacy and Security Standards enforced through the government of Canada (PIPEDA) and the province in which the call centre resides.

Data Security:

We collect survey data through our privately hosted data collection platforms. Your data is always stored within Canada in a secure facility and, whenever possible, it is anonymized so that it is not connected to any personally identifiable information. Our servers and software are regularly audited and updated to remain current with security standards.

Consent:

We conduct social research on behalf of our clients. The nature of the research, our client, and how your answers will be used will be disclosed to you before the survey begins. You may choose to withdraw your participation at any time during the survey as your participation is completely voluntary.

How did we get your contact information?

Often, we have been provided your contact information from the client who commissioned us to conduct research on their behalf. In such instances, they have only provided information that they are legally able to share  and only the information we require to conduct their research.

Other times, we purchase telephone numbers from publicly available telephone databases or through random digit dialing to support our general population surveying. These can include landline and cell phone numbers, as well as household and business numbers.

Do Not Call:

Calls made solely for the purpose of market research or surveys are exempt from the National Do Not Call List Rules. If you have been contacted by us to complete a survey and do not wish to participate, please email privacy@malatest.com and include your phone number (or email address, if we emailed you) and reference code (if available) to have your contact information be taken off the list for this survey.
