About our Website & Survey Platform:
When you visit our website or take a survey through our CallWeb data collection platform, our web server automatically collects the following limited amount of standard, essential information essential through the use of web cookies:

  • Date, time, and duration of your visit;
  • Type of browser and operating system used to access our site (if provided by the browser);
  • URL address of the referring page (if provided by the browser); and
  • Whether the site was accessed by a mobile device (if provided by the browser).

This information does not identify you personally, and we do not use this information to track or record information about individuals. Collection: The personal information you provide (e.g. your name, address, date of birth) in response to our data collection is subject to and collected under the Personal Information and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) as well as other privacy legislation applicable to your province/territory. Our collection, use, disclosure, security, and retention of your information comply with these statutes.

Use: Collected personal information will only be used by authorized staff members to fulfill the purpose for which it was originally collected or for a use consistent with that purpose.

Disclosure: We will not share your information with other third parties—including any public bodies, corporate entities, or individuals—except as authorized by law or as directed by you. We will not sell, share, or disclose your information to any type of mailing list.

Retention: We are legally required to retain any personal information only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of contracted research purposes or as required by law. Malatest has established protocols for the destruction of personal information that conform with the provincial/territorial, federal, or contractual requirements of our clients

Access: Your right to access your personal information is subject to limited exceptions. A request to access personal information must be made in writing and must provide sufficient detail to identify the personal information being sought. We will make the requested information available within 30 business days, or will provide written notice of an extension where additional time is required to fulfill your request. A minimal fee may be charged for providing access to personal information; in such cases you will be notified of the fee in advance and provided the opportunity to either continue or discontinue with your information request.

Do Not Call: Calls made solely for the purpose of market research or surveys are exempt from the National Do Not Call List Rules (see https://lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/en/Consumer/Who-Can-Still-Call-You for more details). If you have been contacted by us to do a survey and do not wish to participate, please email privacy@malatest.com and include your phone number (or email address, if we emailed you) and reference code (if available) to have your contact information be taken off the calling list for this survey.
